In general, the Project is an addition to and remodel of an existing school building. Work includes concrete foundations and slabs; masonry; structural steel, steel joists and decking; spray foam insulation; metal siding; EPDM roofing; tie-ins to existing steel roofing; hollow metal frames, flush wood doors, aluminum storefront coiling doors, and fire-rated aluminum entrances; gypsum assemblies; acoustical ceiling, painting, information specialties, plastic toilet compartments and accessories; and metal lockers. Plumbing work includes: water, sanitary, storm and gas. Mechanical work includes roof top unit, unit ventilators, and air distribution devices. Electrical work includes: lighting, power, and low voltage systems. Site work for the project includes: demolition of site components, modifications to gas, water, sanitary, storm drain, electric utilities; paving, grading landscaping, chain-link and decorative fencing. Lump-sum Bids will be received on a SINGLE PRIME CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE work described in the bidding documents. The owner will obtain separate contracts for Abatement/Demolition of an existing portion of the existing building and construction of an accessory building.
