Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Monroe Hall, a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2019 BUDGET for the Town of Monroe in Green County will be held. The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection at the Town Hall by appointment.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF MONROE, GREEN COUNTY

Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, November 15, 2018, immediately following completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed year 2019 budget, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall of Monroe, a SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS, called pursuant to Section 60.12(1)(c) of Wisconsin Statutes by the Town Board, for the following purposes, will be held: 1. To approve the 2018 town tax levy to be collected in 2019 pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(a) of Wisconsin Statutes. 2. To approve the total 2019 Highway expenditures pursuant to Section 81.01(3) of Wisconsin Statutes. 3. To approve combining the Clerk and Treasurer positions for Spring 2019 elections pursuant to Section 60.10 (1)(b)(2) under 60.305 (1); subject to an annual audit under Section 60.43 (2) of Wisconsin Statutes. 4. To establish the compensation of the elected town officials for the two-year term of office, to begin April 2019, pursuant to Section 60.32 and 60.10 (1)(b)(1) of Wisconsin Statutes.
