NOTICE CITY OF MONROE, WI

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City of Monroe Common Council in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1110 18th Avenue, Monroe, Wisconsin on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 6:30 PM, for the purpose of considering a taxi fare increase for which Federal operating assistance under Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Act, is being sought, generally descried as follows: The City of Monroe is applying for Federal aid for Monroe City Taxi Service for the period of January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2029. The service area of the Monroe City Taxi includes the City of Monroe and 1 mile outside the city limits. The City of Monroe is proposing a $1.25 fare increase above the current standard fare of $4.50 and senior handicap face of $3.75. Requests from persons with disabilities who need assistance to participate in this meeting, including need for an interpreter, materials in alternate formats, or other accommodations, should be made to the Office of the City Clerk at (608)329-2530 with as much advance notice as possible so that proper arrangements can be made. 1. Call to Order: The Board of Education meeting was called to order at 7:00 by Teresa Keehn 2. Board of Education members absent: Rich Deprez, Eric Eckdhal.
