Town of Cadiz Notice of Enactment of Ordinance 2019-01

Notice is hereby given that on September 11, 2019 the following ordinance was adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Cadiz:

All Terrain and Utility Vehicle Route Ordinance

The purpose of this ordinance is to allow the Town of Cadiz to designate certain roads as routes for the operation of all terrain and utility vehicles (ATV/UTV) to connect to trail opportunities. Operation on Green County roads and Wisconsin State highways is not permissible except to cross County Road B at Ullom Road. The following roads are designated as ATV/UTV routes: • Ullom Road from the intersection of County Road P north to the intersection with Franklin Road • Steiner Road from Franklin Road south to the intersection with the Cheese Country Recreation Trail • Franklin Road from Steiner Road west to Allen Road • Allen Road from Franklin Road south to Pilz Road • Pilz Road from Franklin Road west to the Browntown village limits • West River Road in its entirety • Martintown Road from County Road M west to West River Road • Bidlingmaier Road from County Road M west to West River Road • Fox Valley Road from West River Road west to the town line. The following conditions shall apply to all operators and passengers of ATV/UTVs: • All ATV/UTV operators shall ride in a single file • No ATV/UTVs shall be operated at a speed to exceed 30 mph • All ATV/UTV operators shall slow the vehicle to 10 mph or less when operating within 150 feet of a dwelling • All roads will be closed to ATV/UTV traffic daily from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. • No person shall operate an ATV/UTV on the roads indicated when the Cheese Country Recreation Trail is closed for the season. This ordinance will become effective on September 18, 2019, or upon publication, whichever is later. This ordinance will be reviewed in September of 2020.
