ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Lake Summerset Association will receive sealed bids for a project entitled Lodge Structural SupportProject until 1:30 o'clock P.M. local time on the 26th day of September 2023, at the Lake Summerset Association Office located at 1202 Lake Summerset Road, Davis, Illinois 61019. The proposed work for which Lake Summerset Association is soliciting bids consists of, but is not limited to, the following: the installation of new, additional roof supporting glue-laminated beams between the building portal frames and any associated removal and replacement of existing masonry stone veneer, gypsum ceiling coverings, incidental rough carpentry, and finish trim, etc. for the installation to be completed. Bid and Contract Documents may be obtained on September 7, 2023. Copies of the Bidding Documents shall be obtained electronically in PDF format from the Willett, Hofmann & Associates, Inc. website at www.WillettHofmann.com. Bidders shall click on “Bid Login” on the homepage of the website and follow instructions. The eBidDoc# (project number) is 8662167 for this project. Contract Documents can be downloaded in PDF format from the website by depositing Twenty-Two Dollars ($22.00) by credit card. A bid security in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid shall be submitted with each bid. Bids may be held by Lake Summerset Association for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. On a roll call vote, Motion Passed. O. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY ALDERPERSONS Alder Kranig commented that property owners having received the notice of property assessments from Accurate Assessors. Alder Miller extended gratitude for Main Street Monroe promoting and hosting successful summer events including the Concerts on the Square. Alder Grenzow comments on the need to educate the public on what the assessments mean. She further clarifies if an increase is equal across the board, then the taxes will not increase if all other factors remain the same. Public material has been communicated and informed to the public over the last month or more. Administrator Rindy clarifies the assessment does not directly correlate to an increase in taxes. P. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY DEPARTMENT HEADS Q. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY THE PRESS Mayor Douglas does a radio talk and interview with Jason on Big Radio on Sundays. She mentions what is going on at the meetings and what is being sent out by the City of Monroe. R. ADJOURNMENT Motion made by Richard Thoman and seconded by Chris Schindler to adjourn at 7:01 PM.
