TYPE A NOTICE OF REFERENDUM ELECTION August 13, 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the several towns, villages, cities, wards, and election districts of the County of Green, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the following questions will be submitted to a vote of the people pursuant to law: QUESTION 1: “Delegation of appropriation power. Shall section 35 (1) of article IV of the constitution be created to provide that the legislature may not delegate its sole power to determine how moneys shall be appropriated?” QUESTION 2: “Allocation of federal moneys. Shall section 35 (2) of article IV of the constitution be created to prohibit the governor from allocating any federal moneys the governor accepts on behalf of the state without the approval of the legislature by joint resolution or as provided by legislative rule?” This referendum ballot is a result of 2023 Enrolled Joint Resolution 6, a copy of which can be viewed or downloaded on the Legislature’s website at https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2023/proposals/reg/asm/joint_resolution/ajr6. VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who: • will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day. • has resided in the ward or municipality where they wish to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered to vote to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued*. Making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both. You may make a written application to your municipal clerk for an absentee ballot by mail, by fax, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov. Or you may apply in person at the clerk’s office during the In-Person Absentee Voting period listed below.
