On January 29, 2019, EDF Renewables submitted an Application to Construct a Wind Energy System to construct a 65 megawatt wind energy system consisting of 24 turbines. The proposed system, referred to as the “Sugar River Wind Project,” will be located in the Town of Jefferson. A public comment hearing for individuals to comment on the application will be held in the County Board Room at the Green County Historic Courthouse, 1016 16th Avenue, Monroe, Wisconsin on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Each commenter will be required to sign in prior to speaking and will be given five minutes to provide comments. If comments become repetitive, the Zoning Administrator may ask the individual to move on to speak to other topics not previously discussed. Written comments are encouraged and may be submitted by US Mail or in person and shall be received no later than the close of the hearing.
