NOTICE OF SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING

TO: ELECTORS OF SCHOOL DISTRICT OF MONROE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of the School District of Monroe that a special meeting of such District shall be held at the Monroe High School Gymnasium, 1600 26th Street, Monroe, Wisconsin, on the 17th day of July, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. to act on the following item of business: Resolution authorizing the School Board, pursuant to Section 120.10(5m) of the Wisconsin Statutes, to acquire real estate necessary for school district purposes, to-wit: approximately 70 acres of vacant land situated East of 31st Avenue in the Town of Monroe, Green County, Wisconsin, consisting of all land within tax parcel 23020 0576.0000 and a portion of the land within tax parcel 23020 0576.3000, together with an easement for right of access between such property and County Hwy KK; and that such real estate be designated as the site for construction of a new high school building and related facilities. *It is anticipated that a quorum of the School Board will be present at the meeting, but that no School Board business will be conducted. There will be a public hearing before the Green County Board of Adjustment to consider an application for a conditional use permit from EMC Properties, LLC, landowner: to amend condition number one of conditional use permit #2003-255 to allow more buildings for additional storage units. The land is zoned agricultural, and is located at N2407 Bethel Road, Section 4, T1N-R7E, Town of Clarno. The land is zoned highway interchange and residential, and is located at the corner of Edwards Lane and County Highway GG, Section 35, T2N-R9E, Town of Decatur.
