PROCEEDINGS OF THE GREEN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS June 13, 2023

County Boardroom, Green County Courthouse, 1016 16th Ave, Monroe, WI Chair Jerry Guth called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Clerk read the roll call with 28 present, 2 excused absences being Mandel and Wilke and 1 absent being Hartwig. The Board recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Kevin Masarik, UW Stevens Point Water Specialist, and Victoria Solomon, UW-Extension Community Resource Educator gave a Year 4 Groundwater Quality presentation. Motion by Roemer, seconded by Gundlach to approve the minutes of the May 9, 2023, meeting as corrected. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote. Register of Deeds Cindi Meudt presented the Register of Deeds Annual Report. Motion by Furgal, seconded by Snow to receive the Register of Deeds Annual Report. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote.

ORDINANCE 23-0601

Repeal Section Regarding Equalization of Assessments Committee WHEREAS, the Green County Committee of Committees has general supervision over evaluating and making recommendations concerning the committees of the Green County Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, the Equalization of Assessments Committee of the Green County Board of Supervisors was created in 1978 and the State took over the responsibility for tax assessments from the counties in 1981 and there is no longer a need to have this Committee; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Green County Board of Supervisors, in legal session assembled, that the following section of the Green County Code be repealed and reserved for future use: 1-7-7: EQUALIZATION OF ASSESSMENTS COMMITTEE REPEALED AND RESERVED FOR FUTURE USE This Committee shall be comprised of seven (7) County Board members. It shall be the duty of this Committee to have supervision over and make an equalization of the assessments on all property in the County for taxes between the several towns, villages and cities of the County. This Committee shall make a detailed report thereof at the annual session of the Board. Modification to ATV/UTV Route WHEREAS, the Green County Highway Committee is charged with the duty to receive and make recommendations for Green County upon all highway matters referred to them; and WHEREAS, the Green County Highway Committee has approved an ATV/UTV route in the Town of Monroe and is requesting that the Board also approve the route as described in this Ordinance; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Green County Board of Supervisors, in legal session assembled, that Title 8 of the Green County Code be modified as follows: 8-2-13: CURRENT COUNTY TRUNK HIGHWAY DESIGNATED ATV/UTV ROUTES H.
