City of Monroe Public Hearing on Amendment to Comprehensive Plan

Notice is hereby given that the City of Monroe Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on for the City of Monroe City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 6:30 PM. The public hearing will be held to gather public input on a proposed amendment to the “City of Monroe Comprehensive Plan.” The Comprehensive Plan sets the policy for the growth, development, and preservation of the community. The proposed amendment would create an appendix that would adopt the Green County Development Corporation’s (GCDC) housing study that was completed for the City of Monroe. This adoption would allow the City of Monroe to apply for grants associated with affordable housing. The Comprehensive Plan and the proposed amendment are available for review online at https://www.cityofmonroe.org/. Written comments on the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan should be submitted before the public hearing date to the City Clerk (nwahl@cityofmonroe.org).
