TOWN OF MONROE SEALED ROADWORK BIDS (LRIP)

The Town Board of the Town of Monroe will accept sealed bids until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022. Bids may be mailed to Town of Monroe, Attn: Duane Zimmerman, W6577 Wald Road, Monroe, WI 53566. Bid is to: Pave a 21’ wide road in two lifts using 3LT at 2.25” on the first lift and 4LT at 2.25” on the final lift. The shoulders would be 2’ on each side. Pulverize 3,870’ of roadway, shape, compact and overlay with hot mix asphalt in two lifts with final compaction of 4.5”. Apply a tack oil coat between lifts. A two week separation between the two lifts being applied is needed. For specifications please contact: Duane Zimmerman, Town Chair at 608-214-6793. All roadwork must be completed by 9/1/22. The Town reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to select any bid deemed to be the most advantageous to the Town. A current Certificate of Insurance must accompany all bids. According to City Ordinance 9-4-15 which corresponds to State Statute 66.0407: Every person shall destroy all noxious weeds on all lands which he shall own, occupy, or control at such time and in such manner as will effectually prevent such plants from maturing to the bloom or flower stage.
