ADVERTISEMENT TO BID OUTDOOR WARNING SYSTEM MONROE FIRE DEPARTMENT CITY OF MONROE, WISCONSIN

The City of Monroe will receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2019 at the office of the City Clerk located at City Hall – 1110 18th Avenue, Monroe, Wisconsin 53566, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of: Approx: 1 L.S. OUTDOOR WARNING SYSTEM AS PER SPECIFICATIONS Bidding Documents may be obtained from the City Engineering Department located at 1821 12th Street, Monroe, Wisconsin. The first copy of the bidding documents is free of charge. A $10 fee will be charged for any additional copies obtained. Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided. Completed Bidders Proof of Responsibility forms must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to bid opening. Bidders Proof of Responsibility forms are required once per calendar year. Bidders not submitting said forms at least five (5) days prior to Bid opening may be considered non-responsive and their bids may not be read. Bids must be accompanied by a Contract and a Bid Bond with sureties as prescribed by the form attached. Bond must be completed with the exception of the signatures on the part of the City, and the amount must be equal to 10% of the Bid. Bond should be payable to the City of Monroe as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper Contract and Performance Bond within the time limit specified be the City of Monroe. NO CASH OR CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If the Successful Bidder fails to file an executed Contract and Performance Bond with the City, the Bid Bond will be executed and its face value will be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The City of Monroe reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

Absentee Voting to be Administered on Monday, April 1st, 2019 at: St. Claire Friendensheim Assisted Living 10:00 AM Monroe Manor Nursing & Rehab 10:45 AM Special Voting Deputies appointed by the City of Monroe will be administering absentee voting for the residents of these facilities for the April 2, 2019 Spring Election at the above times and places. Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 10 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Only observers from each of the two recognized political parties whose candidates for governor or president received the greatest number of votes in the municipality at the most recent general election may accompany the deputies to each facility where absentee voting will take place. The observers may observe the process of absentee ballot distribution in the common areas of the home, facility, or complex. Each party wishing to have an observer present shall submit the name of the observer to the clerk or board of election commissioners no later than the close of business on the last business day prior to the visit. Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the Town of Monroe will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at the Town of Monroe Hall, located at N3302 Monroe Road, for the purpose of providing the community a reasonable opportunity to comment upon the proposed Bug Tussel wireless communications tower site. A representative from Bug Tussel will be attending this public hearing to make a short presentation and for question/answer.
