Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Presentation 2022 Jeff Neises summarizes statistics related to property maintenance code enforcement program and presents his annual report. There are 500 properties reviewed resulting in a total of 26 citations issued. That is approximately 5%, which is approximately 1/3 less than other municipal programs. The entire City has been surveyed, but it remains an ongoing program. The goal is compliance, and it is ever evolving. Alder Treuthardt Inquires if any of the City Code needs to be reviewed to improve or amend for improved compliance. Jeff Neises advises property maintenance code is subject to interpretation and areas that should be adjusted will be brought forward to the appropriate committee when necessary. The Mayor suggests the City could consider assisting residents with the garbage or large debris removal. She also thanks the staff and Jeff Neises for their accomplishments with this program. Alder Binger is appreciative of the results of the program. A comprehensive proactive program has been great for the betterment of the City, instead of reactive. He is hearing less complaints from the community. 2. Resolution Authorizing Submittal of 2023 Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Vibrant Spaces Grant Motion made by Joshua Binger and seconded by Chris Schindler to approve the resolution authorizing the submittal of 2023 Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Vibrant Spaces Grant.
