REGULAR BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING AGENDA (Monday, January 13, 2025)

1. Call to Order: At 7:00 p.m. the Board of Education meeting was called to order by Rich Deprez. 2. Roll Call: Board of Education Members present: Nikki Austin, Jim Curran, Rich Deprez, Eric Eckdhal, Michael Froseth Jr. (in at 7:01 p.m.), Teresa Keehn, Dylan McGuire, Phil Vosberg. Board of Education members absent: Terri Montgomery. Administration present: Matt Brown, Lindsay Dahmen, Jeriamy Jackson, Sarah Judd, Joe Monroe, ROn Olson, Todd Paradis, Amy Timmerman, Jenna Trame. Administration absent: Rodney Figueroa, Josh Wilson. 3. Approval of Agenda for January 13, 2025: A. Approval to Amend the Agenda to Include the Approval of Support Staff Hiring to the Consent Items: A motion was made by Eric Eckdhal and seconded by Jim Curran to amend the agenda to include the approval of Support Staff hiring to the Consent Items for the Board of Education meeting of January 13, 2025. Approved by voice vote. B. Approval of Agenda: A motion was made by Jim Curran and seconded by Nikki Austin to approve the agenda for the Board of Education meeting of January 13, 2025. Approved by voice vote. 4. Recognitions: A. MHS Building Project Update: Precast going up currently. a potential change order for the addition from the grant is on the budget, steel beams and joists are being set, roofing contractor switch with no cost adjustments, Karl Kramer is retiring. 9. Informational Items: A: Liaison Reports: Lian Troung: Forensics, Model UN, Musical Bake Sale, Doren Festival, Wrestling Senior Night this weeks, Prom for Pennies - Jr. Optimists hosted, Pre-ACT this Friday. Closed Session: At 7:59 P.M. a motion was made by Teresa Keehn and seconded by Jim Curran to adjourn into closed session per Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c)Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. To Wit: Superintendent Resignation and Staffing for 2025-2026. Roll Call Vote: Yes = 8, Absent = 1, approved by Yes majority. 12. Reconvene in Open Session: At 11:50 P.M. a motion was made by Mike Froseth Jr. and seconded by Teresa Keehn to reconvene into open session.
