JUDA - The youth group members of Zion United Methodist Church and Oakley United Methodist Church will be hosting a youth event 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Jan. 12 at Zion United Methodist, N2350 Church St.
The event is open to all youth from eighth grade to seniors in high school. The evening will be filled with music and food along with a time to socialize. The group Sheltered Reality will begin the evening at 5:30 p.m. More information on the group can be found at www.sheltered-reality.org.
Following their performance, two youth bands from the Platteville United Methodist Church will perform for the youth. These groups, Redeemed and Holy Rollers, have both performed in Juda. In between the two bands, there will be pizza and soda along with a time for socializing. The churches are trying to secure a speaker to talk for about a half hour on the subject of bullying. This is a non-denominational event, and all youth are invited to attend the event.
A charge of $5 for non-members.
