JANESVILLE - Students entering fourth through eighth grades may register for "China: It's Language and Culture," a five-morning language camp offered by University of Wisconsin-Rock County. The camp will meet from 9 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18, on the campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave., Janesville.
Instructor YiYi Gallant will help students learn to understand and speak some simple Chinese sentences; sing Chinese children's songs; acquire basic knowledge of Chinese written characters; and gain an understanding of Chinese culture.
The fee for the camp is $89. To register, call the UW-Rock County Office of Continuing Education at (608) 758-6541or register online at http://rock.uwc.edu/courses/continuing/. Register by July 11, as low-enrolled courses may be cancelled.
