MONROE - The Green County Family YMCA invites the community to attend the YMCA Fall Fundraiser, "A Tailgate Party," at 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Green County Family YMCA, 1307 2nd St., Monroe. This is an adult event: Attendees must be age 21 or older.
Tickets can be purchased at the front desk at the YMCA.
The Fall Fundraiser is sponsored by the Green County Family YMCA to benefit the YMCA Annual Support Campaign. The main purpose of the campaign is to provide financial support for children, teens and families who otherwise would not be able to afford the full cost of YMCA programs and activities.
The event starts outside at 5 p.m. with tailgating foods in the parking lot in true tailgate style. Throughout the night there will be games, raffles, a silent/live auction and music. The event then will move inside to watch the UW Badgers vs. Ohio State on the big screen.
Some of the items for the silent/live auction are a football signed by former UW Badger and current Cincinnati Bengals player Alex Erickson, Milwaukee Bucks tickets and a gift basket from the Potosi Brewery.
This is the sixth year that this event has been held at the Green County Family YMCA to help raise funds for the Annual Support Campaign. The mission of the YMCA is "to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all."
