WIOTA - Wiota Happy Hour 4-H Club members and their families will host a volunteer day Saturday, May 17, to clean up the highway and seal the playground equipment in Wiota. Everyone interested in the highway cleanup should meet at the Wiota Fire House at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Bring your gloves.
At 10 a.m., 4-H and community volunteers will gather to apply oil-based sealant to the playground equipment. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Beautification of Wiota is a "Join Hands Day" event sponsored by the Lafayette County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. If it is raining Saturday, the highway cleanup and playground equipment sealing will be held at noon on Sunday, May 18.
