WIOTA -The Wiota Firemen's Auxiliary hosted its annual Halloween party on Monday, Oct. 31 at the Wiota Schoolhouse. There was 120 people attending.
There were two children's door prizes this year, including a cash prize of $40, sponsored by the Gratiot State Bank in Gratiot, First National Bank in Darlington and the Auxiliary. The winners were Victoria Meylor and Levi Fritsch.
In honor of the late David Monson, who did a lot of work to help the Auxiliary, a special adult door prize was given out. The winner of the $20 prize was Dorothy Arhur.
Laurene Winn retired this year as the decorator and two individuals were named in charge of decorating this year. The individuals were Nikki Cooper and Sherrell Ruegsegger. Marcia Swiggum also retired after 26 years as president of the Wiota Firemen's Auxiliary.
A costume judging took place and winners were announced.

After the judging the smaller children went to the fish pond and the older children went to the basement and won some bingo prizes, which was done by the Wiota Happy Hour 4-H club.
