MONROE - St. Victor School will be hosting a Walk-A-Thon from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 29. The proceeds from the Walk-A-Thon will benefit local cancer victims. The school goal is to raise $2,014.

The Walk-A-Thon will begin by cancer survivors walking a victory lap. After they complete the lap, students and staff of St. Victor will begin walking. Throughout the day, classes will take turns walking, making sure that someone is walking throughout the entire length of the school day. The walk is open to the public.

A toilet has been painted purple in honor of cancer awareness. The toilet can be delivered to a yard in Monroe, usually sent from someone else, for $35 per day. It can be picked up from that location for $10, have it dropped back off at school for free or send it to someone else for $35. The event ends on Tuesday, May 27.

To schedule the toilet to be dropped off, contact the school's office at 608-325-3395.
