MONROE - Members of the Board of the Green County Veterans Memorial Park, along with a crowd of fellow veterans and community families, dedicated the entrance marker and brick walkway in honor of veterans in Green County on May 27.

Speakers included William Hustad; Robert Verdonck, American Legion chaplain; Orson Robertson Jr.; Larry Ayres; and Clayton Ruegsegger, County Veterans Service Officer.

Work continues on fundraising through donations from businesses, organizations and individuals for the purchase and installation of a helicopter at the park.

The committee will be actively working on fundraising over the next year. There are benches available for purchase with engraving, as well as sponsorships of flag poles and engraved bricks will be available for purchase by individuals and families.

For more information, contact any member of the board or the American Legion Post in Monroe.
