South Wayne blood drive collects 42 units

SOUTH WAYNE - The American Red Cross visit to Marty's Village Inn in South Wayne Jan. 4 was deemed a success. Forty-six potential donors presented with a quota of 36. Seven deferrals and three people giving doubles brought the total of collected units to 42.

Elaine Redken reached the four-gallon mark. There were no first-timers. Ruth Confer, Roy Dickson and Lon Arnes all gave doubles. Other donors were Don Seffrood, Grant Dale, Cheryl Dale, Dorothy Seffrood, Ron Bauman, Joan Kent, Mary Zimmerman, Konnye Hull, Robert Hull, Larry Burkhalter, Carey Wick, David Redken, Suann Newingham, Kendra Seffrood, Tom Wellnitz, Pam Larson, Sandra Quinn, Sue Gerloff, Mary McKnight, Connie Meier, Joshua Johnson, Jim Meier, Judy Curran, Helen Ladow, Carol Ruegsegger, Jason Thomas, Jason Furman, Janet Gobeli, Steven Gobeli, Margaret Miller, Gary Burns, Monica Koch, Tim Stauffer, Lonnie Stauffer, Janet Maske, Tracey Williams, Sarah Alexander, Karen Signer, Donna Wyss, Kenny Schmitz, Karen Isley, Mary Goonan and Jill Austin.

Canteen donors were Valley View, cheese; South Wayne Mart, milk; Joyce Paulson, sandwiches; Carole Broge, cookies, candy and sandwiches; and Connie Meier, cookies, sandwiches, sausage, crackers and coffee.

Workers for the day were Joyce Paulson, Carole Broge and Connie Meier.

The next drive held in South Wayne will be March 22.
