MONROE — The free outdoor concert series at MAC, Sounds of Summer, continues on the first and third Wednesday of each month through August.
On July 6, Neil McLinden returns to the MAC stage. Neil is a New York City based singer, actor, and multi-instrumentalist. Originally from Brookfield, he began playing piano and singing from an early age, and quickly developed an interest in many different musical styles. In New York City, Neil is a musical theater accompanist and performance teacher at the Neighborhood Playhouse school of acting, and also produces and performs music with his friends and associates.
Vince’s Hot Dog and More food truck will be at the concert.
Blackthorn Folly will perform on the South Terrace at MAC on July 20. Blackthorn Folly is a five piece traditionally inspired band from the Milwaukee area, playing traditional Celtic tunes, pub songs, American standards, and even some pop music with high energy and a ground stomping tempo. Blackthorn Folly was formed in 2012 and performs regularly in pubs in the Milwaukee area, as well as Irish cultural festivals, including the Milwaukee, New Dublin, and Oshkosh Irish fests.
Jose’s Authentic Mexican Food Truck will be serving the crowd.
All Sounds of Summer concerts at MAC are rain or shine and free of charge. Visit monroeartscenter.com for more information on MAC’s Sounds of Summer outdoor concert series.
