Sorchy to present at DAR meeting

MONROE - The Benjamin Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Tuesday in the conference room of the Twining Valley Retirement Community, 700 8th Ave., Monroe. The driveway is across the street from Walgreens.

Historian and lecturer Nancy Sorchy of Brodhead will present the program pertaining to "Ladies Clothing of the Time Period of 1750 to 1820." She also will relate to the cultural thinking in regard to how a woman dressed and show some items.

The program is open to the public.
