APPLE RIVER, Ill. - The Sigafus family reunion will be held on Sunday, July 26, starting at 12:30 p.m. with a carry-in dinner in the large room of the Apple River Stagecoach Event Center just off Stagecoach Trail on the east edge of Apple River. Families are asked to bring a dish or two to pass. Tablecloths as well as plates, glasses, table service, and napkins will be provided.
John Franklin Sigafus, patriarch of the family, was a devout Christian so many of the family members to show their respect for him, have gathered first to worship at the 11 a.m. service of the Apple River Presbyterian Church, and provide special music as The Sigafus Singers. The Sigafus Singers will practice at 10:30 a.m. and anyone who wishes to participate is invited and welcome.
