OSHKOSH - Army Cadet Michael A. Cuevas has enrolled in the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) program at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.
Upon graduation and completion of ROTC Military Science courses at the host university, the cadet will receive a bachelor's degree and a commission of second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Cuevas is the son of Benito and Melissa Cuevas of Maple Street, Oshkosh.
He graduated in 2008 from Argyle High School.
NORFOLK, Va. - Navy Seaman Samantha O. Thorpe, daughter of Katherine Thorpe, Albany, and Thomas Thorpe, Jr., Albany, recently reported for duty with Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.
Thorpe is a 2006 graduate of Reedsburg Area High School of Reedsburg, Wis. and joined the Navy in December 2009.
