Sept. blood drive collects 183 units

MONROE - Three new donors and several other donors made it to the Red Cross Blood Drive in Monroe on Sept. 19. There were 189 donors who presented and 183 productive units gathered, just short of the goal of 195 unites.

First time donors were: Ella Sanderson, Judy Gray and Amanda Field. First-gallon donors were Elizabeth Adams and Chris Beer. The two-gallon donor was Alicia Lehman. Three-gallon donor was Ellen Rogers. Seven-gallon donors were LaVeren Isely and Dale Saxer. The eight-gallon donor was Teresa Zimmer. The 12-gallon donor was Chris Luchi. The 13-gallon donor was Walter Rufener. Eighteen-gallon donors were: Jim Bauman and Rex McHardie. The 20-gallon donor was Leland Hartwig.

The volunteers were community members, National Honor Society students and Methodist Church women. The next Red Cross Bloodmobile will be from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today, Nov. 28 at the United Methodist Church, Monroe.
