DARLINGTON - Mitchell Wedig, Darlington, received a $500 scholarship from Accelerated Genetics, Baraboo. He has the dream and goal of becoming a large animal veterinarian and owning his own practice specializing in dairy and beef cattle. Wedig has been accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he plans to earn a bachelor's degree in animal science/pre-veterinary medicine and then go on to Veterinary School.
Accelerated Genetics offers these scholarship programs to youth pursuing careers in agriculture.
