Apply Day is on March 1 at Madison College’s Goodman South Campus from 5-8 p.m.
HOW DOES APPLY DAY WORK?
SOP staff provide step-by-step support and assistance over the course of one evening, ensuring students submit all necessary materials required to be considered for the Scholars of Promise program.
To apply students must be a graduating high school senior (including those seeking asylum or refugee) and be attending a high school in the Madison College district (or online school with home address in district.)
Since its creation in 2017, Scholars of Promise students have received nearly $1 million in funding.

MADISON — For high school seniors seeking financial assistance through Madison College’s Scholars of Promise program, Apply Day is March 1. For some students, support from this program can be the difference in going to college.
The Scholars of Promise (SOP) team has reached out to over 70 area high schools in the Madison College district ensuring they know about the SOP program and Apply Day.
“Scholars of Promise empowers income-eligible students to start their higher education journey with strong support programs and financial assistance to reach their academic dreams,” says Scholars of Promise event coordinator Janell Lathrop. “We are strongly encouraging eligible high school seniors to attend the Scholars of Promise Apply Day event with their friends and family to apply for our inclusive program.”
The Scholars of Promise (SOP) program is dedicated to removing financial barriers for students by covering tuition and fees (not covered by grants and scholarships) for up to six consecutive semesters.
