Rock County Genealogical Society to host program about a Lafayette bond servant

JANESVILLE - The Rock County Genealogical Society will host a program presented by Sherry Derr-Wille on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

The program by Derr-Wille will follow a short business meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum, 426 North Jackson St. The event is free and open to the public.

Derr-Wille will speak about how her grandmother was sold as a bond servant in Lafayette County. Derr-Wille is now retired but continues to write. She writes in several genres including family epics, romance, murder mysteries and erotica, with 66 books in print and one on the way. Derr-Wille also edits for three different publishers and mentors authors.
