ROCK CITY - Stan and Thelma Daughenbaugh, who recently retired from the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, have been invaluable friends and helpers to countless families over the years throughout Stephenson County and places close and afar. They officially retired last year.

The Stateline Ministerial Association is hosting an appreciation reception for the Daughenbaugh's from 2 to 4 p.m. and awards ceremony at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at the Rock City Fire Department in Rock City.
