NEW GLARUS - A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians - A Renaissance Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12 at Wilhelm Tell Grounds, W5199 Highway W.
Those who attend can come in costume and meet a knight, throw an ax or knife, learn how to cook from pirates, see primitive sheep, hear gypsy music, see a fire dancer and see various shows and musicians.
Admission is $7 for ages 14 and older, $5 for youth 4 through 13 and free for ages 3 and under.
Over 40 creative artisans and merchants will be on hand. Gifts will also be available, including furs, leather ware, pottery, weaponry, swords, collectibles, Renaissance attire, herbs, fantasy and steampunk attire, toys and pirate treasure. Food stands will be available.
All proceeds from A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians benefit the youth programming of the Monroe-based nonprofit Shakespeare on the Edge Inc.
