JUDA - The sixth annual Tyler Pierce Memorial Tournament will start Friday evening and run through Sunday at the Juda Community Park.

There will be concessions all weekend and local entertainment both nights: Kyle Gumtow, DJ, will perform Friday and Precocious will play Saturday. There will be bags and volleyball tournaments and men's and coed softball tournaments. A memorial balloon launch and ceremony will be held Saturday night. There will also be concessions and a silent auction.

All profits stay in the Green County area. Funds raised from the annual event have been used to bring speakers into Green and Lafayette county schools and communities, to supply informational materials to local schools and to award several scholarships to local high school graduates.

Goals for funds raised this year include making a series of book donations to local elementary schools, increasing scholarship amounts and creating an educational program geared toward local firefighters and EMS personnel. Donations can be made to the Tyler's TEAM Foundation Inc., W3050 Middle Juda Road, Juda, WI 53550.

To sign up a team to play at the tournament, visit www.tylerpiercememorialtournament.eventbrite.com. For more information, call 608-214-4652. Tyler's TEAM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
