MONROE - Monroe Morning and Noon Optimist Clubs are holding an "Oratorical Contest" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 at The Union Presbyterian Church, 2707 5th St.
The contest is open to all students up to age 19, who are still attending High School.
A 4- to 5-minute oral presentation is requested on the topic: "How My Passions Impact the World."
Scholarship prizes of $150, $100 and $50 will be presented to the first three place winners in order.
Pre-registration is preferred, but students may register and participate on the day of the competition.
