Events are held worldwide on Earth Day to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth's natural environment. The Next Generation 4-H members participated in an event that coincides with 4-H clubs' core values and Earth Day. More than 40 club members honored Earth Day April 22 by cleaning a span of Wisconsin 11/81 east of Juda. The group collected 22 bags of trash from along both sides of the 1-mile stretch that is assigned to them by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. This is the fourth year the club has been cleaning the highway as part of this environmental awareness day.
