MONROE - The accomplishments and the first anniversary of the Young Professionals of Green County will be celebrated at a Recognition and Networking event on Thursday, April 30, at the Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus.
The event will start at 7 p.m. and will include a dessert reception, welcome from Faun Phillipson of Phillipson and Uretsky, LLP, a brief networking "mixer" and presentation of the Outstanding Young Professional of the Year Award.
The event is open to the public and will cost $5.
Persons interested in attending, RSVP to the group at YPofGC@yahoo.com or to Tory Tullis-Zettle at (608) 324-4795.
Young professionals have enjoyed numerous opportunities over the past year to connect and enjoy activities throughout Green County. Some of these events include miniature golf, go-cart racing, wine and cheese tasting, as well as luncheons focusing on personal and professional development.
The event will also recognize this year's Outstanding Young Professional of the Year, through an award sponsored by Badger State Ethanol.
Community members interested in nominating young professionals for the award are encouraged to nominate using the form that is available online at http://green.uwex.edu.
Award nominations will be accepted through April 7.
