MONROE - Honey Creek Skatepark finished in ninth place in the recent X Games Program, "Don't Knock Handouts" contest. MASE did not win the contest, but thanks everyone who helped MASE gain points in the contest. The youth of Monroe won something out of the contest by handing out 1,200 finger boards this summer. Remember, MASE won $10,000 two years ago in the Great SK8 Giveawy contest.
To understand what type of competition Honey Creek Skatepark is up against - Honey Creek Skatepark is an 8,500-square-foot public skatepark with a lot of room for open skating.
Many of the parks also finishing in the top 10 in the contest are larger parks, some are indoor/outdoor complexes and some are privately-owned.
