MONROE - Monroe Clinic Hospice will be holding hospice volunteer training from 6 to 8 p.m. March 8 and 22 and April 12, 19 and 26 at the St. Camillus Center, 2101 6th St.
Hospice volunteers are required to have 16 hours of training in the state of Wisconsin. There will be online training as well as face-to-face training. The online training can be completed at home or in the hospice office at the convenience of the trainee.
Hospice volunteers join a team of professionals who help terminally ill patients live out their lives to the fullest. Hospice care is focused on helping terminally ill patients find dignity and comfort, as well as supporting the families during the grieving process. Monroe Clinic hospice services are available in Green, Rock and Lafayette counties and in Stephenson, Jo Daviess and part of Winnebago counties in Illinois. Services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers. No one is refused services based on ability to pay.
