MONROE — Monroe Clinic is hosting “Makeover Session with Heart” at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Monroe Clinic Hospital, Cafe Meeting Rooms; and at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Freeport Public Library, 100 E. Douglas St., Freeport.
Presentations will highlight three key areas: heart health, joint health, incontinence and pelvic prolapse challenges. Panel members include Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jonathan Swindle, Cardiologist Dr. Sunil Penesetti and Women’s Health OB/Gyn Physicians Dr. Joseph Ehle or Dr. Erin Stefely.
Dr. Jonathan Swindle, a Monroe Clinic orthopedic surgeon, will provide insight on why women are prone to joint issues and what steps can be taken to help you remain active and pain free.
Monroe Clinic’s special event for women will provide tips and strategies that allow women to take control of their health and well-being. A panel of health care experts will be on hand to explain healthy habits and true wellness that is the best kind of “makeover”— one that will have lasting impact in the years ahead.
Ehle or Stefely will discuss steps to help avoid pelvic prolapse and the troubling symptoms that go with this condition. With sensitivity and frank conversation, they’ll offer real strategies for today’s woman. Penesetti will outline a plan for heart-healthy living and how to get and stay on track to better lifestyle habits.
