MASE fund-raiser planned for Aug. 9

MONROE - This year Monroe Area Skatepark Enthusiasts will be fund-raising with a custom designed (homemade) Sponge Toss instead of a Dunk Tank on Saturday, August 9, at Summer Fair on the Square in Monroe..

Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a half hour to an hour at a time, to be inside the booth. Your fans, or enemies, will pay MASE to get wet sponges to throw at the person in the booth. Sounds like a lot of wet fun and it will help MASE raise money to donate to the city to buy the rest of the equipment for Honey Creek Skatepark.

The booth will not be operated during the Pie Eating Contest from 2 to 2:30 p.m.

For more information, contact Tom Miller, MASE /coordinator of Summer Fair on the Square at: tom.miller@weirminerals.com.
