MADISON - The 15th-annual Garden Expo, held Feb. 8-10 in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, will offer attendees the opportunity to learn a new skill and take home a handcrafted project.
Monroe resident Nancy Momsen will teach the "Make Your Own Succulent Wreath" workshop at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Momsen also will present demonstrations titled "Blending Teas for Taste and Comfort at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 and "Blending Gourmet Herbs and Spices" at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.
Each workshop requires a fee separate from admission. For a complete list of workshops and demonstrations, and to register, visit wpt.org/gardenexpo on the Web. Event attendees also may check for workshop openings during the event at the Wisconsin Public Television booth.

Other Garden Expo highlights include more than 100 seminars and demonstrations on lawns, gardens, landscape design, and related topics, a 1,200-square-foot garden display by the Wisconsin Landscape Association, more than 400 exhibitor booths with fresh plants, dried flowers, garden art, tools, equipment and appearances by Shelley Ryan, host of Wisconsin Public Television's "The Wisconsin Gardener" program.
WPT and UW-Extension/Cooperative Extension Horticulture Team host the community educational event, and fundraiser based on WPT's "The Wisconsin Gardener" program. Proceeds support WPT's quality programming and outreach events that serve to enrich the Wisconsin community.
Tickets for Garden Expo are $6 in advance ($7 at the door). Children 12 and under are free. Two-day passes are available for $10 both in advance and at the door. The Alliant Energy Center charges an additional fee for parking.
