MONROE - The Diocesan level of the Knights of Columbus Knowledge and Free Throw contest was held in Sauk City on Saturday, March 5.
Local Council 1471 math, spelling, and free throw winners were eligible to participate.
Six participants from the Monroe area were among the winners. First-, second- and third-place winners were awarded medallions.
In the free throw contest, Logan Weckerly, age 13, took third, and Brayden Zettle, age 10, took second.
In math, Silas Setterstrom, grade 6, took third and Keyton Friske, grade 8, took third. In spelling: Josette Ferguson, grade 5, took first, and Ellis Erb, grade 7, took third.
First- and second-place winners will go on to the state level competition on March 26.
