MONROE — The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will host a free event from 6-10 p.m. at the Twining Park Bandshell on Friday, Aug. 18 — Movie at the Park.

The new Super Mario Bros Movie will be shown. There will also be free face painting, pony rides, yard games, popcorn and a petting zoo from 6-8 p.m. The movie will begin at 8 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
