Habitudes program to be at library

ARGYLE - In acknowledgement of Money Smart Month, Argyle Public Library will host "Money Habitudes - What's Your Money Personality?" at 2 p.m. April 24 at the Argyle Public Library.

Presented by Bev Doll of UW-Extension, this interactive program investigates individual money habits to identify personal attitudes about and habits with money in order to gain insights into how these "habitudes" influence financial, relationship, career and personal decisions.



Albany

Alumni raise money for scholarships

ALBANY - The Albany Alumni Association just had their annual Alumni Basketball Tournament to raise money for scholarships to be given out at the annual Albany Alumni Banquet to be held. The roast beef dinner will be served family style and starts at 7 p.m. May 26 at the Albany Lions Building.

In 2004 the newly formed committee awarded two $500 scholarships. Last year, due to donations, $10,000 was awarded in scholarships. The scholarship fund is now up to $66,000 since 2004, due to the tournament and the people who purchase ads on the back of the t-shirts. Last year 245 people were in attendance.



FFA annual auction to be held Friday

ALBANY - The annual Albany FFA Blue and Gold Auction will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Albany Lions Club.

There will be a silent auction, live auction and a raffle. The alumni will be auctioning off guns. There will be sandwiches and refreshments. This event is open to the public.



Monroe

Optimists bike rally this Saturday

MONROE - The Monroe Optimists are sponsoring a bike rally Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Green County YMCA for grades 4K through six.

There will be a bike safety course and fire, EMS and police and the UW Med Flight helicopter will be present.

Bicycles will be given away but one must be present to win. Register by 11:30 a.m. to qualify for the bike drawing. Helmets will be for sale also.



MHS to hold annual talent show in PAC

MONROE - Monroe High School will hold its annual spring talent show at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center. The show showcases the talents of both students and staff.

The ReVue has been a tradition at the high school for several decades. This year's theme is "Once Upon Time." This event is open to the public.



Cemetery clean-up day this weekend

MONROE - The Bethel Hawthorne Cemetery clean-up day will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.



Colony Brands to sponsor April Loaves and Fishes meal

MONROE - Loaves and Fishes Community Meal will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church. This month's sponsor is Colony Brands.
