ALBANY - Peter B. Kelly, a long-time admirer of Abraham Lincoln, will help Albany Historical Society members and guests recognize the 200th anniversary of his birth at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Museum, 119 N. Water St. in downtown Albany.

The meeting is open to the public.

A prominent attorney in Monroe, Peter Kelly has spoken about many phases of Lincoln's life on many occasions, but this year, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the 16th president's birth, makes his remembrances of "Honest Abe" very special.

A short business meeting will precede Kelly's program, and refreshments will be served afterward with Karen Brugger as hostess.

Officers of Albany Historical Society for 2009 are: Ruth Beckman, president; Jim Loften, vice president; Jane Copus, secretary; and Jack Lindberg, treasurer.

For further information about the organization or the Feb. 17 program, call Ruth Beckman, 862-3423, or Peggy Wetter, 862-1120.
