MONROE — The Monroe Arts Center is proud to be co-hosting the 2023 International Women’s Day Marketplace with the Multicultural Outreach Program of Green County and the Sababou Education Fund Inc., on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 12-3 p.m. at the Monroe Arts Center. The International Women’s Day Market will feature women owned and women run organizations in Green County, sharing with the community what they do best.

International Women’s Day celebrates “the progress made towards achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment.” (UNESCO) In addition to celebrating these achievements, this holiday strives to raise awareness about discrimination, bias, stereotypes, and the importance of inclusion. 

Vendors are still being accepted for the event. Interested parties can register for the event at monroeartscenter.com under the community events tab. There will also be a short presentation at 2 p.m.
