ALBANY - The Albany Historical Society will hold a general meeting at 7 p.m. May 16 at the Historical Museum, 119 N. Water St., Albany.
Albany resident Tim Jones will present "In the Hands of the Enemy," a film about the Bataan Death March of World War II. An uncle of Jones was in the march.
The film is narrated by actor Brian Dennehy and includes interviews with the few remaining survivors of Company A and headquarters, part of the 192nd Tank Battalion, which lost two-thirds of its men in the war. Filmed on location in Wisconsin and the Philippines, the film includes actual battle footage from the Death March and prison camps.
Meetings are free and open to the public, with refreshments served. Donations are accepted.
