Gebhardt promoted to US Army colonel

Col. Paul Gebhardt

Paul Gebhardt a 1991 graduate of Monroe High School was recently promoted to Colonel for the United States Army. Col. Gebhardt joined the U.S. Army Reserves in Monroe on Dec. 27, 1990. He commissioned into the ROTC program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1996. 

Gebhardt is a graduate of the UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Business Administration and minor in leadership. He also holds a Master of Science in Logistics Management from the University of Florida and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Air University in Maxwell AFB, Alabama. Col. Gebhardt, his wife Lori-ann and two children Briar and Darian have been stationed in Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, California, Fort Knox Kentucky, Fort Snelling Minnesota, and most recently Scott AFB in Illinois where he was promoted to Colonel. 

Gebhardt also did a tour in Kabul, Afghanistan. Col. Gebhardt currently serves as the USTRANSCOM Reserves Affairs- Tng/Ops/Plans Division Chief at Scott AFB, Illinois and this summer will be relocating to California. 

Col. Gebhardt’s Promotion Ceremony was held on Feb. 8, and in attendance were his wife Lori-ann, son Darian, sister Amy Burkhalter, niece Heather Burkhalter, sister Sarah Reister and father Ernest Gebhardt Jr.
