MONROE — The Green County Dairy Youth Recognition Auction Committee will present scholarships to qualifying youth who are an active member of 4-H or FFA in the dairy project in Green County.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, the applicant must have been a senior in high school or enrolled in post-secondary education of no more than one year past high school graduation.
Requirements include completing an application that asks applicants to list the dairy shows and other activities they have participated in. Agriculture and other dairy activities that the applicants have been involved in, such as dairy judging, dairy bowl and dairy promotions as well as how the dairy industry has influenced them and their goals for the future will be considered when selecting the winners. These scholarships will be awarded to an individual one time and will be paid out after the student has successfully completed one semester of study and has sent the committee proof of satisfactory completion.
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Green County Dairy Youth Auction Committee. Scholarship winners will be recognized at the Green County Fair during the Dairy Youth Recognition Auction. Applications are due by April 30 and scholarship recipients will be announced in May.
