DARLINGTON - Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a fundraiser, "Band-Aid 5," set for 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 at Bridges Banquet Center, 201 Christensen Drive.

The event includes five local bands and live entertainment.

Six local businesses are sponsoring the bands: Benton State Bank, Shullsburg Community Bank, Black's Floor Covering, Darlington Chiropractic Clinic, Murph's Furniture and Decorating and First National Bank of Darlington.

The "Fever River String Band" five member band plays a mix of bluegrass and old-time country.

The "Stump Fiddle Band" provides a down-home, easy style of classic, country and gospel hits. Band members include Rick Loken, Barb Nemec, Greg McGowan, Dick Black and others

"Sunshine" is a power trio of guitar, electric bass and drums. The three members, Tom Bussan, Bill Eaton and Mike Dunbar, have been together playing 50 weekends a year since 1975. The music presented by the group represents hits from the late 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s blended with traditional and contemporary country music.

"Transition" was formed in 1985 by four Darlington High School graduates. The group dabbles with a little country music, but has focused more on music from The Beatles, John Cougar and other 60s through 80s groups. Members are Jim Jacobson on guitar, Rich Leinberger on bass guitar/keyboards, Dave McGranahan on guitar and Steve Fitzsimons on drums.

"Elypsys" is a heavy metal band featuring Tate Huntington, Braden Zywicki, Riley Schuetz, Ethan Glendenning and special guest Jim Jacobson.

There will be a special guest appearance by local talent, Brianna Hardyman.

"Band-Aid 5" will also feature food, 50/50, silent auction and Lafayette County Communities Bucket Raffle with donations from businesses in every town in Lafayette County. A new event this year will be the "Urgent Care Bar" which will feature some local guest bartenders. Bridges will also be offering a steak and shrimp buffet for $12.50.

Doors open at 4 p.m. the night of the event with music by Dick White.
